Fashmates (www.fashmates.com), the leading AI-powered personalized styling platform, today announced it closed an undisclosed round of pre-seed funding, bringing its total funding to date to ~$1 million. The round was led by Sourabh Satish (co-founder and CTO of Phantom, now Splunk). The proceeds of this round will enable Fashmates to grow its sales and marketing function while fueling the development of new types of shoppable, content-driven e-commerce and in-store experiences for fashion brands and retailers.

“With the rapid growth of styling and online shopping, brands and retailers are scrambling to engage shoppers and keep pace with the shifting demand of shoppers for more visually exciting and compelling shopping experiences,” said Sourabh Satish, co-founder, and CTO of Phantom, now acquired by Splunk. “I see Fashmates solving a very real need for these retailers and brands to extract more value by increasing product discovery and offering scalable shoppable contents in a fast and affordable way.

Note: Phantom was acquired by Splunk for $350M on Feb 27, 2018.
